The Rams Head Inn at Dolton has an established reputation as a great place for good food, wines & ales and quality accommodation.
This 17th century inn recently underwent a tasteful programme of refurbishment by the previous owners and now, since April 2018, is under the ownership of Michelin accredited French chef Nicolas Boucher.
Nicolas and his family have moved from the Vendée region of western France where he has owned several fine dining restaurants.
Inspired by the idea of running a fine West Country pub offering great food, Nicolas with Head Chef Fortunato Malerba and their team have already begun to make their mark on the Devon culinary landscape. Passionate about using local seasonal produce and developing a menu offering traditional favourites with a modern twist, customers new and old are relishing the opportunity to visit this popular pub and restaurant where you will be assured of a warm welcome by our wonderful front of house team.
Nicolas is as passionate about wine as he is his food and therefore, as you would expect, the Rams Head Inn offers a comprehensive wine list of hand picked wines to suit all tastes and budgets plus a choice of well-kept beers, lagers and guest ales
In summer months there is a delightful garden area, offering a sheltered sun-trap to enjoy a glass of wine and a light meal. In winter months wood-burning stoves and tastefully furnished bar areas offer a cosy haven on a cold day. A separate dining room offers a more formal environment and also can accommodate private groups, including small wedding parties, by arrangement.
For your accommodation needs, eight en-suite bedrooms are available, including two family rooms. Each room is individually styled offering comfortable accommodation for short breaks or longer stays. Guests can enjoy a full breakfast menu as well as lunch and evening meals (check our opening times for days when food is available).
